96 civic power windows quit working

Hey everybody...looking for any guidance with a problem I am having with my pwr windows. 96 honda civic ex 4dr. pass front worked intermittantly and then quit. the other three started the same thing and now don't work. checked fuses=good. new drvrs switch assembly=no change. really frustrated :banghead: and it sdriviing me :screwy: like to drive in summer with everything down and tunes blastin :iceslolan . any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks everybody

sounds like a bad connection sumwhere in the main circuit of the system. did they all do it at the same time or was it one window at a time? if the last three all went out together, then yeah it's prolly a wire problem in the main curcuit (bad ground possibly), but if they all went indivually, then it really could be anything. i'd suggest getting a wire diagram for the power windows circuit and go thru the trouble shooting diagnosis.

you are absolutely right! I pulled off the door and looked at the wires in the harness to the door and sure enough the ground was completely shredded, along with the wire that powered the pass window that started not working first.
