Hey I havent really posted here lately mainly b/c i had wrecked my car. well anyway i was wondering what yall would think...i still have the car and it doesnt have much damage, the main part is the fender well is bent back some and the radiator support is pushed back on the drivers side....so my question is do yall think i should get the messed up parts fixed and the do like a d15b swap for now or just try and find another one....and another reason im thinkin about this is b/c the way gas prices are shooting up i need something a little bit better on gas than my suv i have now. Thanks.
edit: by the way its a 88 4 door dx, and i also have a parts car i can get some stuff off of like the bumper and fender and headlight and stuff, and another thing to mention is i just got another 5 hours added on to my schedule at work(25 now) so ill be bringing about $260-$270 a week now so moneys not an issue.

You can get the parts you need from a junk yard and the motor swap for roughly $1000 to $1800 depending on what you change on the motor and what kind of mods you intend to make. I am just about to wrap up my d15 vtec in my crx so i'll post how happy i am w/ it, and i definatly feel ya on the gas cause i am driving a full size truck from 87 right now and man i filled it up the other day and it was close to $60 for just a fill up and then i have to fork it out again the next week so my swap is greatly anticipated. But so far the swap is going smooth considering i have never done a honda swap before. The motor is running good i am just having tranny issues right now, but i have figured out what i did wrong, (you live you learn) But the wiring for the d15 is easy, except for 2 wire on the dizzy which are confusing but if you get it wrong the first time all ya got to do is fix it so either way it's a good experience to learn about the motor and how they work if you don't already have honda knowledge.
