2000 Grand AM ignition problem

i recently replaced my ignition cylinder and had the new one coded to my keys. Almost everything works except when i turn the car on the dash lights do not turn on, and it doesn't turn over. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Welcome to AF, I would think you need to pull it back out and recheck the wiring and look for damage. Good Luck
