what kind of custom piping would you need to place a turbo underneath, bottom mounting it so that you cant see it?

for something like a T66

are there any sites online, that could provide for the gaskets/parts

as i understand this, you would be required to pull the motor to get both banks to run the turbo, and that the install would be very time consuming [any guesses? please]
also is there any way that the intercooler may be side mounted

what would the estimate prices be for a setup like this, providing that the turbo is already in hand

i ask all these questions because someone that i know claims this and that he removes the turbo every week or so that no one will know about it :screwy:

personally i feel that a fake BOV speaker is more likely :disappoin as i can sometimes hear a faint practically inaudible hiss that wants to sound like a blow off, also the few chances i can see under the hood he claims to have removed the turbo

It's possible, yes, but that person is lying to you, so don't worry about it.

Installing/removing a turbo setup isnt just a few minutes of wrenching. If he's good and has all the tools, he could probably do it in a day(6-8 hours), but most likely more like a weekend. Plus he'd have to buy a handful of not-so-cheap gaskets every time he put it back on, exhaust gaskets don't work well when being re-used. Pricey and pointless.
Have you ever taken a ride in the car when it had this "turbo" on it? You should definately be able to hear the turbo hiss(not BOV, when accellerating the turbo's intake hisses like mad, especially a turbo big enough to feed a v8), and it would definately be very fast. The least ammount of power I'd expect to see on a turbo 4.6 is maybe 350-375hp to the wheels, still very quick.
Sounds like BS to me.
Oh, does he have a boost guage in the car? Pardon my language, but you'd have to be a fuckin idiot to turbocharge your car and not have a boost guage. That is asking for trouble.

if you have a gt that's pre '94 say 87-94, puting in a turbo isn't that big of a job, a paxson fits really nice, buy the kit and it should come with all the gasket and such. I found a twin setup isn't really necessary with these cars. And yes, definately have a boost gauge in the car. I like to use a triple gauge pod that fit where the stock a-pilar is and put an an oil temp gauge, boost, and a water temp. The reason being forcing more air in the engine can and will raise the temperature some; yeah, and it also looks cool. The A-pilar pods can be gotten from texas mustang. go to texasmustang.com.

one of my first observasions, I mean the sr20det i had was only using a little T25 but i still heard it sucking in air

no gauges at all something that i knew was messed up

also he's always like man i don't want a twin, I want a single turbo, ya i figured as much about the gaskets

i was on my friends comp when i first wrote this post, thats me up there [ooralliartoo], i fergot to sign out and back in

Its not turboed. Always believe it when u see it. Is a single turbo very good flow wise compared 2 a twin? Would it take a T66 or T76 to flow well enough on a built motor? Can i ask any more questions?

just an Update

it is a speaker, because it just suddenly got louder the other day when he decided to restart his car, i guess that he turn it up

also he cannot drive worth a shit 11 seconds in the 1/8th mile, even a stock GT should do better than that right? :eek7:

it wasn't a one time fluke either it was 11.5 then 11.2 then 10.9 :loser:

:eek7: Wow, he's right on par with a stock 4-cylinder fox body with those times.
