stock turbo with front mount??

hey well ive been brain storming for a while and wondering if when i upgrade my turbo i also have to upgrade my intercooler.. is it possible to just upgrade my intercooler and leave my turbo stock? until i have enough money to upgrade to a 16g that is..


oh and one more thing... lol some guy with a probe (160 hp) just bought himself a T3 turbo.. will this be enough to put a spanking on my car with no mods xept a 3' exhaust.. or do i need to change a couple of things here and there for myself.. thnx

to put a T3 on your car you would need to change a couple of things. and you can upgrade your intercooler when ever you want.

Yeah, no big deal. You can go with the intercooler anytime. I wonder, what do you need to do the T3? Or is it even worth it?

T3s can be extremely small. The name t3 by itself however says nothing about the turbos size, other than its small. You would have to find out the wheel sizes. All of the t3/t4 turbos have t3 hotsides, so all of those manifolds will work.

Get the turbo first. Considering you'll have to modify the FMIC once you get the 16g, there is no reason to have it for the t25.

I got my GReddy 24r when I still had the T25. Made a considerable amount of difference; car was noticably faster than before. But only truely useful with a larger turbo, as mentioned by others above.
