Im back with another question...Im ordering the Blitz KKK Turbo and I googled for info on the Type RS and the Type s BOV and was wondering what you guys think of each. I know I can afford both so which do you think is best for my application.

Ok what is your application? As in goals.

I like&run the Type S. But the Type RS is the same thing plus a larger valve. Either will do.

i say greedy type-s b/c is know and tested, and you can re-circulate back into intake so you car wont run like garbage..

I think the RS is like the S, except for that blue thing on the exhaust port with the holes (is said to make it louder) and like fanatic said, the bigger valve, so I'm guessing it sounds the same, just much louder. And the RS can also be recirculated.

that sound clip is when the type-s is vented to atm, when its re-circulated it alot more quiet..

yeah i know, nissanfanatic recur. his and he said its alot quiter then that, the hardpipes also make it sound much better than PVC piping..

my boy tat has it on his turbo ka-t s14, its sounds mean as hell when you hear it, but most of the time its drowned out bya his exhaust and turbo spooling...

The RS supports recirculation too. IIRC, it requires an adapter, but technically so does the Type S. Most of us are just too lazy and cheap to buy the adapter.lol I can still hear my Type S when its recirculated as long as I'm not on full boost where as the wastegate is drowning out the rest of the world.

i love the external wastegate noise, and not to sound like an idiot but what does IIRC mean?

There are a few more companies, like Mitsubishi (greddy uses), AiResearch (dodge uses) IIRC, and I think a few other companies.

And about the BOV, my friend used to have an atmospheric BOV on his Jetta 1.8T, which he then sold and put the stock one back on, because the sound got really annoying. Out of all BOV, greddy type S and RS are in my favorites, as you can recirculate them and it is greddy, not expensive either.

well see also part of teh problem is that i dont no which turbo i wanna buy, all i no is that Blitz has good prices and is reliable. Im still researchin the diffrent turbos and there applications b4 i post here so i dont sound like a complete idiot...

just keep researching. There are Garrett, IHI, KKK, Holeset, Mitsubishi, and probably a couple other small companies. IF I were you, I would just invest in a GT28 or similar. www.atpturbo.com and www.phoenixturbo.com both have good prices.
