My stratus is hard to control on the interstate or rough roads. If there is a slight breeze (less than 5 mph) the car acts as if the wind is really strong. I can't do over 70 mph because it wanders too much. It is also really bad on rough roads. The dealer is no help they say that this is the way it drives. Also the rear drivers side is making a popping or bumping noise whenever I go over a bump. It has no tire wear. I could understand if the tires were wearing, but the tires are still brand new. The car has 4200 miles on it and it is the worst handling vehicle I have ever owned. Any suggestions? Could I carry the car to a different dealership than where I bought it to see if they can do something with it? My 86 Dodge Ramcharger brick was easier to drive than the stratus, course traded it in for this car. Gas too high.

It is a Stratus coupe sxt (2.4 I-4). I took the car to another dealer and they fixed the problem (recall item). It drives good now. I test drove a r/t for the hell of it, I am really disappointed that I bought my four cylinder. If I were you avoid the 2.7 v-6 because the timing chain design. The timing chain tends to break prematurely. Go with the 3.0 liter it has a rubber band for timing. I would go with the R/T version though. If you want more info go to www.2gstratus.org. The site can point you in the direction if you looking for performance or anything else, if you decide to get one. Hopefully this helps you out.
