Accident tonight

Sooo I had an accident tonight. I was getting to work in Montclair... some of you maybe know the city? around 6ish. I was backing into a spot, glanced back to make sure there were no cars in the spots, looked at my mirror to guide to the lines... and BAM!!! i thought "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" Turns out, an african-american woman in a Toyota Camry tried to CUT AROUND BEHIND ME as I was MOVING BACKWARDS with my REVERSE LIGHTS ON into a PARKING SPACE in a parking lot. She was in the freaking row of parking spots speeding trying to get around me. So we leave our cars right where they were, called the cops, along with 2 of my coworkers who led me there and were going to another account. 1 stayed as a witness. Cops came, I told them what happened and all, they took information and all that.

Here's the somewhat humorous part. I got out of my car and looked at hers... DAMN. Rear right door SMASHED in, the panel inbetween that door and the wheel fucked up, and the hubcap had flown off. I look at my car... hardly ANYTHING. some scruffs, a couple scratches, and a nick on my exhaust tailpipe.

So I was sorta surprised, my bumper wasn't even cracked and her car had at least a few thousand in damage. I couldn't and my coworker's couldn't see ANY way that the accident was my fault - they didn't even have enough time to beep their horns that she was coming when they saw her, and they were in their cars.

One of them called me tho as I was headed home, and told me company insurance covers going to whatever locations, so tomorrow morning I'm calling my boss to ask him about it and get the company insurance info, then if need be call my insurance company to make a report. I only have liability but shouldnt matter - the cops didnt seem crooked so theres no way really it WASN'T her fault, so her insurance should cover

Oh, and right before I left work I saw a 17 yr old girl making a left hit a guy - the uncle of one of the bouncers where I was working, a sorta old (late 60's?) guy. Eventful night.

that really sucks.. you're lucky it didnt do much to your car though.

Good ol American made... Only way to go. I am just glad no one got hurt.

bummer man. but it is comical that her ride was smashed.
however, i know in oklahoma and i think texas, anytime a person is in reverse they are at fault. but i think there needs to be exceptions, like this case.

Have you tried compounding touch up paint and a top clear coat yet?

Why cant this shit happen to me? My buddy works at a body shop. Almost all my friends have had some kind of minor accident like this, where it wasnt their fault, and end up with their cars fixed and like 4-5 hundred bucks b/c he hooks them up. Nothing wrong with a little insurance fraud.:evillol:

On subject, I'll bet your bumper absorbed the hit pretty damn good, plus being curved helps. Doors and fenders seem like the easiest parts to damage though, on any vehicle.

john you are a damn nut....lol hitting my car with a white dude wont get me a new paint job, that may end up costing my black ass somehow..i dont know how exactly but im willing to bet you wont be at fault it would be all my fault for my car being there or some dumb crap. and testtube dont wish to get your car ran into, because it will be your luck that the fool who hits your car will total it and not have any damn insurance, then u will be in here pissed off telling us how some broke fool with no insurance hit your baby
