I need to change to radiator hose..I know how to change..it.. obviously.. but you need to emtpy the coolant....so where do I go to do that.. I'm sure I would figure it out.but I don't want to just look around.

Peace.

Oh..this might not be a "problem"...but it fits more in here than in the non-performance section...right?

Remove your radiator cap then get below your car and loosen the radiator pipcock(sp?). It's under the car, on the driver's side, on the cabin side of the radiator. It should be clear/white plastic and hard to miss. Takes awhile to drain.

If you're removing the top hose, you don't need to remove all the coolant. If you're doing the bottom hose, I believe you do. Wouldn't be a bad time to flush the radiator and change out the coolant, especially with spring upon us. If you need more info check out your haynes manual. Or go buy one ;)

Have fun.

Alright. So I am guessing that to flush it, I empty it completely, throw some water in there, let it drain out, and then refill it with coolant?

Yeah, not rocket science :) Pour water through the radiator until it stops looking nasty as it pours out. If you're going to replace all the coolant, you'll also have to drain the block. You don't have to do this for the job you're looking at, but it's not hard to do, either. There's a rubber hose that you loosen a clamp on, that's attached to the block. It's in the turbo area, but you really need a manual to get a good idea of which hose is the right one to pull. If you're the experimental type, you could figure it out, then test it by taking a drop of the liquid and putting it in water-- coolant is the only fluid in the area that's polar (will dissolve in water).
