Air Conditioner

In my buddies S-10 Extreme his air conditioner will only blow on level 4. One settings 1, 2, and 3 it does pretty much nothing. We have checked all the fuses and they are fine. Also he says that his blower motor is fine. What else could be the problem?

there is a resistor pack that has gone bad, try the heater and make sure, but im sure its the resistors gone bad, it works by, resistors for one two and three, setting four is wide open no resistors, im almost positive thats whats bad, anyone any ideas as to where they are located on this vehical?

my AC doesnt blow cold air at all, it blow air at about 70F. i charged up the R134, but still doesnt work

not to steal msimpsons thread but I have a 89 s-10 pickup and the blower dont put much out except for the highest setting, I already replaced the blower motor cuz it was makin noise, but would this resistor pack thing apply to my year too?

yes, not sure where it is located, the "helpufl" people at autozone should be able to tell you where it is located, all it is, is an overpriced set of resistors in fancy plastic, wired to fit a gm vehical, to only allow a certin amount of electrical current through, yes, changeing the blower moter was probibly a good idea, when they start to make nois they will usually give out someday soon, and if murphys law is right, it wont give out untill the middle of augest or january, depending on where you live
