Accent low compression

Hi all, i'm tryin to fix my fathers 02 accent and things aren't adding up. Just looking for suggestions or the frequency of this problem. Anyway the car is running literally on 3 cylinders. Noticed the spark plugs were leaking replaced plugs and wires, to no avail still missing. checked for spark, fine. Unplugged each fuel injector in sucession, no change in #2 cylinder, swapped fuel injectors, no change, signal present at connector. I just told you that so no one would suggest fuel or spark. Compression tested each cylinder, approx 170-180 on cyl #1, 60 on cyl #2, approx 100 on the remaining 2. Which suggests to me that cylinder #1 is okay, because that is a normal value. It did not increase with each crank of the engine so i do not suspect piston rings. Also due to 3 cylinders acting bad I wouldn't suspect valves, first off itd be noisy and second off a valve burning or cracking in 3 cylinders is unlikely. I also removed the valve cover, the valve springs are fine and everything up top works as it should, I did notice minute traces of coolant in the oil, and some crud buildup, but very little. Which leans me toward head gasket, but what are the odds of a head gasket blowing between 3 sucessive cylinders. :banghead: I'm running outta ideas until i get the head off, but i'd appreciate any suggestions, which would save me taking the head off, cuz finding a haynes guide for that car for the tourqe specs is becoming a bitch. Plus is this common, cuz hyundai keeps telling me that its spark or vaccuum and I feel like punching them in the chops right now. Thanx muchly for any help
