My minivan was side swiped at the wheel well area. They ran a stop sign and my wife was going about 45mph. It damaged the tire/steering colum fender door. After the repair of 3500 we got it back and other than some wind noise and some front end shakes everything seemed okay. They fixed those issues. Now 2 months later my transmission is slipping and I heard a clucking noise when putting it in reverse. It seems to heisitate if I put it in drive or reverse. I have never had any problems with this before. Could this be from the accident? Should I go to my insurance agency and request payment for repair? Take it back to the shop that repaired it? Or is it just my bad luck? Thanks for your time. Bud Michigan

The clunking noise could be coming from a CV joint damaged in the crash. Transmission slipping could be a fluid problem. How many miles on the car?

59,000 I am having Honda dealer look at it Friday. I guess we will see. I'll let you know what they think. Still shifts smoothly once in gear, just the issue of that noise and the delay when putting it in gear.?? Thanks Bud

I guess Honda is replacing the transmission at no cost to me. They are admitting they have had their problems. I guess with this kind of customer service, you still can't go wrong with a Honda. Bud
