imports and domestics are just different, there is no better or worse. Some prefer the grunt power of a V8, some prefer the turbo spooling and handling of an import. Apples and oranges.

I myself am more of a domestics fan. I like big body cars, and deep rumbly exhaust tones. I wouldnt say the domestic fans got owned, we just weren't trying to make it a dispute. Most of the comments were that domestics and imports are different, and cant be compared. But I wouldn't agree that imports have the best handling. I think longer cars with wider wheel bases handle way better. I've ridden in a fair amount of tuned imports and I cant stand the way they handle. The differences in imports and domestics are all about the most important things which is why people want to argue about it. The main point is.....If you are going to drive a car, why drive that when this is so much better? And both sides are saying that.

The reason I said I dont dig on imports is because I am mainly referring to honda civics, not actually imports as a whole. There are a lot of imports I really like. I almost bought a 2002 2 door accord because I think they are bad ass. I just dont like little cars, Civics, Sunfires, Cavaliers, Neons, etc. And even when I see a Civic with a body kit, its like an ugly girl in a lot of makeup. It just really doesnt help the matter. I wouldnt feel like a man if I was driving a compact car. That may have something to do with the fact that I'm 6'8 and I could beat those cars up, but thats how I feel about it. When I see some dude rollin in his pimped out civic or sunfire I laugh and think... "aww thats a cute little car."... save em for girls, get a big car.

You know, to be honest... I like everything. Except the oldass cutlasses with hydraulics and the 60gazillion spoke rims. I just don't understand that at all. Most of the time I can picture why people like certain styles and how they developed. that one just confuses me. oh well...
I was watching the Barret-Jackson auctions recently, then something on our type of modified cars, imports and that kind of thing, and dammit I LOVE those old wide body big block vintage superbees and mustangs, GTOs and Cougars. Those cars are just absolutely beautiful! And I still love a good modified late model stang. Built the way I love 'em, not putting those goofy altezzas on the back, keeping the original heritage of the stang. I love imports just the same. Hell, I drove a T88 turbo'd RX7, next car was a lifted jeep wrangler, and now an MR2 that I'm dumping grands into, and now I'm saving to get one of those big,wide beautiful cars from the 60s, 70s so I can fix that too...

Its the WRX's, Skylines, NSX's, Evo's.... not hondas. That's like some dude driving a 92 buick screaming "Domestic Pride!".... Its mostly Civic and integra owners who talk shit about domestics. Lets get real, a 400 horsepower stock cobra will smoke 99/100 honda civics. So dont scream "Import pride!" if you are only rolling a honda. exactly, why hate and be jealous of others when we can hold hands, unite and be happy with our differences! Ok maybe not that fruity, but I also like all kinds of cars. I like imports more but i can definetly respect domestics, like the C6 vette and I'd like to own a 300C one day.
