I said that because you said a Silvia with a KA, you have a 240X, just pointing it out, for the brakes, it seems like an alright brake setup, it doesn't say anything about lines, if it comes with lines then it's basically the same as the Phase2 "Nismo Big Brake Kit" for a lot less.

BTW, am I doing this forum thing right? I'm new here, I'm sure you all realized that. lol

It has the 240sx motor, but a 240sx doesnt come with the silvia front end conversion, so it has a Silvia front end, making the Body a silvia but the engine is not.....But if you saw a Silvia going down the street, the s13 silvia, you would say WHOA its a silvia, not whoa its a 240sx even if it had a KA or the SR

Thanks for replying, i agree i think if they are reputable it is a good deal as well, and phase2motortrend is a pretty good site, been looking at some stuff there lately, if anyone else is interested in brakes heavythrottle has some brake kits on their website, with free predrilled wholes if you have 4 lugs like me, so i thought that was cool.

ok ok, before this gets to far out of hand. YES he has a 240sx with a SILVIA front end. So its still a 240 for obvioius reasons, but it has a silvia front, so it looks like a silvia. But here in the states, i would say look at that 240, because chances are its not a "true" silvia. I would just generally understand that you have the front conv. He wants to make a usdm silvia, is what it sounds like. Which is pure custom done, obviously. he has the front end, and is getting the sr. So....i see both points, but i would have to go with the 240 route and not say i have a "silvia". Cant wait to see those pics. Good luck with the swap.

its still a 240sx it started its life as a 240 and no matter what is done to it the car will always be a 240sx i mean i have a 240 w/ the s13 silvia front end and a red top sr but i dont claim to have a silvia cause i dont have one. back to the engine swap check out some of the places listed in the FAQ. and remember when ordering a engine or anything this phrase is so overused but true "you get what you pay for"

just so i get what your saying, i will never have an s13 silvia, just an s13 silvia wanna-be because it was manufactured by nissan but made in america, just like i will never have a jdm 350z, or anything like that.....I mean, everyone i know that is into cars doesnt dis it and calls it a silvia, but i mean yes it was made in america and if you want to get technical it literally isnt a JDM Silvia, but its the closest you can get , big deal, ill just call it a SIL40, but i have been checking on the SR and stuff, and been looking around, my mechanic actually has installed one in his s14 and a hatch s13, both came out really well, so hes gonna hook me up, not for free of course but it should work out, hopefully, and i will post as soon as i can

what the hell is your guys problem? Just leave him alone, its his damn car, he can call it an airplane if he wants. The SR swap is very common, just google it or check out the FAQ for help. Good luck with it...
