Whenever I drive my 91' MR2-T, after a while a light will come on. It is a picture of a red motor on the bottom right hand side of my cluster. I thought this ment over heating, but my temp is only a quater above the bottom line and sometimes never rises but a little bit above that. My fans do still come on but only when I sit still for a long period of time. I also have removed all of my A/C. During this time my car runs like crap. I will hit the gas and a loud sound of rushing wind and spooling is all that happens, giving me no go. I am pretty sure my BOV is sticking open or just needs to be adjusted. Its a Blitz. Thanks for any imput!

I just tightened the BOV spring bolt and the light is now gone and there is no more lag! Could this have been the reason why the light was coming on?

If you were getting the check engine light, you should check your codes. The ECU stores the codes. Whatever code you got will be there until you reset them.

I did check my codes and only got one, 42. It is for my busted cluster. Now my car is doing some crazy things. Now if I give it gas the engine light comes on and there is no power at all!

I think it's a safty deal. When ever that red light comes on (which im pretty sure is for over heating) a couple of min. later it wont let me boost. I checked it again and got 42
