hello all, just to start, im new to this whole rotary thing,,so this may seem like a stupid question to some of you....i have heard about some one "soaking" the inside of the engine with automatic trans fluid on a 1st gen rx7 to rebuild compression and condition the apex seals. but i was wondering if it would hurt any thing to do that in a 2nd gen?im really not sure if it even works but i got all the directions to do it but am not sure if its safe to do in my 86 n/a rx7. thanx in advance.

it works for any engine with stuck seals.

but it has been found that ATF doesnt work as well as Marvel Mystery Oil (which you use in the same exact way).

ATF should never be used on a rotary so long as MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) exists.

yea, leave it in for some while, but turn the engine by hand frequently and make sure every rotor face has its dose of MMO
