ok guys i just found a deal for a b16 head(and ecu) for 300. all it missing is the dizzy. does the b18a dizzy bolt up on there. they are both obd0.
and another question is(i did alot of reasearch but confused) for lsvtec aslong as i keep the revs under 7000 the engine should last right. cause i could get it installed with the oil passeges and stuff for 400.the reason why i ask is cause i use it for reliability, its a daily driver. i plan to rebild the engin to be able to run the vtec with no problem in the future but not for now.i would kinda need to know asap cause i expect it to be sold any day.
thanks for you help

yeah keep it under 7k and it should last. i'd upgrade to a gsr water pump atleast though and get arp head studs.

no difference, with the b18a, i hear you need to cut off one of the legs to get it to fit. idk never done it myself but thats what i hear

yep the obd0 B18 dizzy will work but you need to cut off a leg to make it bolt up

Keeping it under 7K? That ain't fun...build it right once and rev to 9500 rpm all day long...I've had my motor for 3 years, over 30K miles...daily driven and 3 Autocross seasons. Up until last week...I wanted more power...I'm currently breaking in my new motor...sleeved LS block to 85mm, balanced crank, lightened flywheel, eagle rods, wiseco pistons,GSR head, ported & polished, big valves (ferrea), titanium retainers (ferrea), Toda spec C cams and Toda valvesprings...looking to put out over 250whp...I'll post the dynograph next week...
