red tails

any one know how to make crx tail lights to look like this? the only tails i like other then stock. a different pic shows clear altezzas, and he said he spray tinted them red, but they look way different....you willl see what i mean

do u wanna know how to do it? buy candy red spray paint, buy altezzas and paint em

yep just like 1phatcx said..they're sprayed red with clear red candy paint. You can get it at model and hobby shops. I've done it to afew cars here, looks pretty nice if you don't just glob it on.

Love how he blurred the license plate in the first pic but didn't bother in the second :D

But they look a lot better painted than red. And who even needs reverse lights.

ok well which altezzas and do u paint em on the outside or inside? i dont want to spend money on thme and have them turn out crappy lol

paint the outside of them.. and doesnt mater what kind of altezzas, just get cheap ones if u want, or go all out and buy the most expensive ones.

Oh yeah ..I didn't notice before that he didn't mask off the reverse lights..hmm that's kinda illegal, lol. Most people are smart enough to mask off the reverse lights.

My guess would be is when he had is car painted he had them mix red W/Clearcoat then sprayed the tails. I mixed black in the clear coat and tinted my taillights...

the center piece is definantly stock, but in the outer pieces you can just barely make out that red oval shape that you see in the altezza clear picture. sounds like he really did spray-tint them. with what, though?
