I own a 94 Integra LS and i was wondering how often the clutch need to be replaced.....like every 8 years/ oh ya i also have 131,437 miles on it.....mabye.....i turned my car on to go to work and the clutch stuck to the floor and i had a friend come over and look at it and he found brake fluid on the inside of my car by the firewall, so something exploded or has a hole. so my clutch is pretty f***** Up. im assuming $300-$350. Do i need a whole new clutch system or what. Thanx for the replies i thought id ask u guy first before i got screwed over(money wise) by some nasty repair man.

Sounds like the seals on you clutch master cylinder went pop. Hydraulic clutches work the same a hydraulic brakes (basically). Might be as simple as getting a new master cylinder or getting the one you have re-gutted. I have no idea on prices but i would say no more than 50-80 bucks in parts (for a new one). Installing it shouldnt be too tough either, just hope you know how to bleed.

As far as your clutch goes, was it still fairly tigh before this happened? If it was, dont worry about the clutch, just get that master cylinder fixed.

i agree w/ sleeperteg... sounds like the master cyclinder... i had a similar problem myself... one the lines running to master cylinder got all bent out of shape and started leaking clutch (brake) fluid... took it to a shop, paid about 50 for the part and 80 for labor... haven't had any problems since... hope it works out for ya... peace

Yea we ended up getting it fixed. it was the clutch master cylinder. We replaced it and she pumped the pedal while i loosened the bleeder valve and i tightened the valve and it tightened the clutch.:D
