How much would you pay???

Do you think $1000 canadian is too much to be askin for my 1989 Honda Civic DX??? It has 247,000 KM, works great, but needs exhaust and a windshield. It also has a bit of rust at the bottom.

What you need to do is find a local shop or two and get some estimates for the repairs. Mainly the windshield and the exhaust. When you get those in writing, you have a bargaining chip and an idea of how much you might need to lower the price. The rust is a whole nother issue and you should have that looked at by a body shop. What you see is one thing but what rust you dont see can be serious.

I could just be a nice guy but if this car is going to fall apart next time a shopping cart smacks it, i would feel bad for the next guy driving it.

Cars with that many miles (km) and damage (windshield), rust, missing parts, etc; go for around $300-500 US around where I live. So I highly doubt you'll get $1,000 for it. But there's no way anyone would pay more than that (unless they didn't know what they were doing). Just my opinion.
