Fuel Problem

I have a 94 SHO Taurus. Runs great except in the summer, it will die for no reason at all. If left to sit for about half an hour or longer it will run again for a short time, then die again. When putting in fresh gas, it will run for quite a while, then it will again die. This occurs even when the tank is over half full. I live in Las Vegas and this starts when temp go over 90 degrees.
Any ideas from any one.

Try changing the gas cap. Could be the old one is plugged up and causing a vacuum to occur in the gas tank as the heat of day comes on. By allowing it to sit, allows the vacuum to be released in the tank allowing gas to flow again. Just a hunch.

Thanks, I will try that and see.
