I'm looking into a 5.0 mustang and i was wondering what kind of damage must have been into it for it to need a new wiring harness. So far from the locals i have heard fire or wreck. neither of which sounds appealing to me. I would also like to find out a price on a new and used harness before i buy the car. Maybe i'm cheap i don't know. just doing the preliminary research before the purchase...

Ask the person selling the car, rather thatn us as to why it needs it.
You can pick up a harness for about $100 on ebay, maybe a little more.

If you look around $100 sounds right for a used one.
You can buy a new one from Painless wiring for about $300
