Need help on something else.

Crap, this is really pissing me off, it's like my car is freaking falling apart sitting there. So, since I'm lost on how to fix where it won't start I'm going to wait until tomorrow to let my dad see it. I decided to clean up the car, and the carpet in the back has been replaced, and they done a shabby job on it. I decided to fix it myself.
The reason that it's all shabby is because whoever did it before just set the carpet in there, and didn't put the wires for the tail lights through the holes. I looked at it, and it didn't seem too complicated, so I just unplugged them, put them through the carpet, and it looked nice. So, now my turn signals will not work, the electronic release for the hatch works, and I had to do more with it, but now the turn signals won't work.
So, I unplugged the turn signal wire that I had to disconnect, and tried again, with no luck. I looked at the fuses, and they are fine. Any idea about this one?
