Go to your local parts house, buy the "Ford Radio Removal Tool" for 6$, insert the tools into the 4 little holes in the corners of the radio until you feel them catch, pull outward (towards the sides of the car), then pull toward you. Radio should slide right out.

Flewthecoupe, you are frugal when it comes to OBD (paperclip!). Why didn't you tell him to use a couple of u shaped pieces of a coathanger instead of spending $6! :)

I have a scanner for OBD now but, I did have to use the paper clip trick before the $30 scanners were available!! And I never had much luck with the coat hangers. :)

I've used my "coat hanger radio removal tool" several times and it works great. You just have to make sure you use a rugged hanger and not one that bends real easy.

Hah! I've got a better story... Stole one (1) of the tools from a friend of mine to remove my radio! I only used one!!! *eyeshifts* Okay, so I borrowed it, but the point was that it was only one!
