Installing front pads. Compressing cylinders? Do I need a special tool to compress cylinder (as some cards need) or can I just compress them out?

Nothing special with the front pads. You can use a big C clamp. However, I've heard (probably on this board), that it is best to crack your bleeders when compressing the piston. You let the old fluid bleed out instead of pushing it back up into the brake system. I guess the ABS system can be pretty picky when it comes to contamination, so it sounds like a good idea to me.

YES, definately open the bleeder screws to compress the piston. you don`t want to push dirty fluid back into the mastercylinder. just make sure to close the bleeder before releasing the c-clamp so you dont suck any air in the line..
