86 cutlass randomly tried to start

the other day i was cleaning my car, but when i was finished i went into my house, only to hear my car trying to start itself there was no key in the ignition. :confused: any suggestions!?! i disconnected the battery so that it would stop, any suggestions would help, thanks

Check the connections on the starter
