Brights light blinking

My dashboard bright light indicator is blinking and my day running lights are off. The headlights are fine otherwise, and the light quits blinking when I turn them on. I figure this is some sort of thing that should be obvious to someone who knows these cars. I never turned tham off(I heard you could), and checked the parking brake too.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like it may be an issue with the BCM. It is a module located underneath the glovebox. It controls things related to the headlights, DRL's, ect. You may have corroded connectors or something on the BCM. It is common to have a leak in the firewall near it, and have the water cause problems with the BCM. It might not be a bad idea to pull your dash panels and check it out. Good luck.
