4x4 SOS STUCK ON PASS

okay i have a 1985 s15 jimmy 4x4 with automatic tranny and 2 years ago the 4x4 worked in 2 feet of snow the pass overnigth while sleeping in a motel dumped 15 inches of snow and i try my 4x4 only to discover it does not work the 4x4 ligth comes on and only the rear tires spin i am pissed i need to get back to collage before it starts april 4th and need to get it out and there is more snow in the forcast
okay this i took the slid plate off and looked the senster was dirty on the outside and i cleaned it and it looked fine and connected no faryed wires or anything and i did another test and this time i put it in 4 low and tryed driving and it did not work but i must add whenever i was on the acclater it made a whine noise pretty loud whine nosie but if i let go of the accelarter the whining stops but if it is in 4 hi i did not hear it but it may be there fantly i am kinda deaf and in 2 wd it did not have a whine noise it stays in 2wd even if the ligth indectater by the shifter on the floor is lit at 4x4 or 4x4 lo please help i need to get the heck out of here.

i do not need help anymore i fixed the 4x4 i called the dealer and ask them what things to check and i looked and found out that my battery was pinching the vacum hose (stupid me now) now i am on my way home lol with 4x4
