IMO it just hasta be a fake, no matter how real it looks.

when you think about it, how would the camera person know to suddenly move the camera to follow some flying scissors?

you can also consider how there isnt any blood, and i just think that there would hafta be at least some from the initial tearing of the skin when the scissors hit his arm.

another thing.. the reaction from the people there just isnt realistic. if i were there and saw someone get freakin stabbed in the arm like that i think i'd flip out just a little, and maybe go deal with the big guy with the short temper.

when you slow it down and try to look for scissors in the air too, they just arent there, and you cant see the big guy actually release them from his hand either. im thinking he threw them straight to the ground, making them stay out of the shot. you also dont see the scissors impact the other guy's arm.

overall, it just seems too staged.

it is really well done, but it just cant be real when you consider just those points.

Looks pretty fuckin real to me...just my opinion ,look how the skin buldges up around the scissors. if indeed it is fake thats one hell of a special effects job.

Yeah it looks real to me too. The camera doesn't follow the scissors in the air at all. It stays on the kid who threw them and then pans over when the kid walks back in the door with them in his arm. I think it was more of the camera man getting the hell out of the way so he didn't get hit. I've personally had my brother throw a screw driver at me and it stuck in my leg, it didn't even start bleeding for a few seconds until it fell out of my leg. And I think their reactions were realistic, it seemed like they were thinking "holy sh*t?!" and complete disbelief. It seems like the camera man just wasn't back far enough to catch the scissors flying in the air. And it doesn't look like they stopped filming and started up again, to get the scissors to be in his arm; and he didn't have them in there when they first started filming. I don't know, I agree with Juice; if it's fake then the editor and special effects artist should get jobs with major movie studios for the work they did.

It's real. Punctures dont bleed untill the impaling object is removed. My fiance had scissors thrown in her leg b4...... no blood untill the doc removed them.

i had scissors and a screwdriver stabbed into my leg at the same time. they both bled instantly. trust me.

i dont see how those could have went in that far tho, like you'd assume they'd hit bone first. and how in the hell can u get scissors to fly nicely like that and actually penetrate someone? every time i've thrown scissors they dont stick into what i throw them at
