is there a difference between a wel known expensive short shifter such as b&m and a cheap short shifter?

Yeah, I think what's his name with the red 240SR who lived in Dakota said he loved his B&M, really solid and precise shifting.

alright sounds giood i figured it would be you get what u pay for i just wanted some feedback from people who have one or the other. now if i could only find where to get a idle air control valve for the sr

there are b&m lookalikes on ebay.
i have one... they are well worth the $!! shifting is really really nice and tight with them.

I've heard that OBXs don't really shorten throw at all. If I were to get one, I would go with the Nismo or the B&M.
B&M also warns that cheapies can mess up your tranny somehow. IDK, search the B&M site. I saw it in an ad.

B&M is the best way to go, the cheap knock off ones have to said to not even shorten pull and feel like shi* when shifting..

yea B&M... plus from what i heard the nismo one's don't even shorten the throw that much. It just makes it shift 'cleaner'

there a guy on here who bought one and i asked him about 2 weeks ago because ive seen those cheap ones on ebay and he said it barely even shortened the pull, and it felt sluggish. Its someone on this forum, im suprised they havent said anything yet..

i know a guy who bought an obx shifter and snapped it in a month.
i bought an obx upper front strut bar and it fucking bent like 2 weeks after i installed it.
