Need a opinion

hey guys, i got a 97 silverado with a 5.7 liter vortec, its loud already and barley passing emmesions, im wanting to put a muffler or exsust system in it for a little extra juice and a nice loud rumble. i aint got muhc over 500 to spend so im considering glass packs, what do yall think? how will it sound? help me out or give a suggestion.

Well, we put glasspacks on our '78 with a 305 and compared em to my dad's '81 305 with flowmasters... not a whole lot of difference there as far as sound goes. Both sound great, and if you're trying to save money, I'd go with the glasspacks.

I've got glasspacks on my '86, and I love them. Spent $56 total, and they even came with a free window sticker :)
