I have a 92 PA that refuses to idle properly. I have replaced all the coil packs, plugs wires, maf, intake gastket, checked and replaced vacuum lines, fuel pressure regulator, you name it I have done it but it still won't idle. Any ideas or should I just get a gallon of gas and a match?

i had a similar problem after changing my car battery, i changed the battery jumped in the car and started driving. After speaking to a mechanic he told me the car had to learn to idle again, basically he told me to disconnect the battery for 15 min, reconnect it, start the car and turn the AC on high and let it blow cold and run for about 20 minutes, the car will re-learn how to idle properly.

Have you replaced your Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor? Have you tries using carberator cleaner to the inside of the throttle body?

I have done it all.....Learned today that the engine is no what it should be.....it's a 3.8 but it has an intake that is two parts, and that wasn't started until 1993. So, either the engine has been replaced (quite professionally I might add) or for some reason that put a 93 motor in a 92. MFG date is 2/92. I replaced the o rings in the space between the upper and lower for the egr and got a better response, its idle is not really even noticably bad to someone who doesn't know much about cars. I dunno man, I guess it's just a damn lemmon
