:grinyes: Yes. the radio works fine, reception is somewhat fuzzy though in AM. My DIC gives number codes at other times also, such as, "low refrigerant A/C" , then the number "09". This only ocurrs on steep hills. There must be a "code sheet", but when I stopped at the dealership they wanted an appointment and $85 to hook up the handheld scanner to the on board computer.

The DIC codes are not listed on Alldatadiy but I will try to find a copy.
Did you try pressing the RCL button?

:) According to my friendly neighborhood mechanic, Jason, the message that appears before the number code "44" has meaning. GM put out a service bulletin that some owners were getting a "Date Not Available" message on the DIC. If the message cleared after 1 minute, then a replacement of the HVAC control module was in order. If the message did not clear after one minute, then there is a reset procedure (he was not able to share the procedure with me :). This may clear up the pesky code...but my HVAC module seems to be opperating the climate control system just fine. Stay tuned!! eric

I would be interested to know if pressing the RCL button stopped the chimes.

Does anyone has membership/access to Alldatadiy? If so, TSB 183 on the 1995 Aurora list may answer my problem with the DIC "date Not Available" message and the chime. May 1995 #548301 TSB looks like a fit. Can anyone help me?

:2cents:85.00 is a great (dealer) price. The information you get is priceless.
let them check the ECM and they will tell you the trouble codes, then you can go from there. You don't have to get it fixed their at the dealer. You can just tell them check & go.:smokin:Note: if a serious code comes up then you have an option to let them (dealer) work it out.
