I have never had something like this be intermittent. Occasionally, when I hit 45-55 the front end shimmies really bad.... then if i slow down to 35 or so and go back up the shimmy is gone... I just had new tires put on, so they should be balanced correctly, I'm gonna have him check again tho... but why would it be intermittent??

It could be your alignment. If your front toe is off by a good deal you will have something like that happen. It will feel like your front end is out of balance and then when you slow down it goes away.... when you pick up speed sometimes it comes back other times it dont. Have a 4 wheel alignment done and a thrust angle alignment done. But be prepaired to get the message,, "we where unable to get your car back to factory specs becuase of worn components, I suggest you buy new ...... parts." Over time the suspension will sag on these cars, and all cars, its just a matter of life with gravity, like old women not all there parts stay where they once were when they were young. :D

Well a 4 wheel alignment with thrust angle alignment probly run you around 90 bucks some places are running specials this time of year and you may get a coupon for cheaper but make sure its a 4 wheel alignment with thrust angle adjustment. The parts for your car if you will need any is where it may get expensive, more so in labor than anything else. But not all that bad.

shit, i forgot about the thrust part of the alignment, how important was that?? also, i got it back and the right rear values didnt change at all... did they screw me, they are both way outta whack... camber -2.5 (spec -1.9 - -.4) and toe -.10(spec -.05 - .05) they didnt even make any adjustments to it.... in all actuality, the only thing that was adjusted was my front toes.... do i need to bitch?
