Painting front valance panel

I have a new front valance panel for my Blazer and it came in grey, paint to match. I did a search and know about adding flex agents to the paint but I don't have a gun. I also seen mention of Kylon "fusion" but few details. Does anyone recommend this stuff? Any other spray can recommendations that will work for this? Finally, what is the best way to prep it before painting? Thanks.

Rattle cans are not the way to paint a valence.

I would agree with blazerlt.... You need to mix specific flex agents and reducers and adheasive promoters directly into the paint and use a proper gun... I was fortunate... When I got my new one, I bought it for the trucks without tow hooks and it was molded black, I simply popped out the vent piece and wala! Instant OEM tow-hook hole... My bumper, valance and grille are black...So it worked out..

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm considering doing the research, getting a spray gun and the right supplies and doing it myself. I know it will cost more for this one project than just taking it to a shop, but I'm sure I'll have plenty of stuff to paint in the future. Thanks guys.

I bought a new one it came in grey also. I used that fusion rattle can stuff. that was 6 months ago , no problems with it yet im in Canada and it made it through the winter. Just Clean the part REALLY REALLY good and TAKE your time and you shouldnt have any problems

MInes black and when your standing there it looks stock, but if you get down and examine it real close you can see some sags in the paint which is why i say take your time. By the way when i put mine on the the mounting holes for the little black push in "pins" that hold it on didnt line up at all and it was a Chevy part. I had to use heavy duty zip ties.
