Modifing my Tamiya Supra

Welp, i'm new the board, so i'll introduce myself, i'm nika...there easy enough:)

As of right now, i'm working on my first car model in like...5 years, and the last one i worked on was a blazer when i was 12 or so(18 now, turning 19 soon enough). I've been modeling Gundams and other Space Mechas for awhile, past 2 years.

Now, this modification i'm doing to my supra is to open up the front bumper/grill so it looks a little "meaner" and i'm debating whether or not to modify the radiator to look like an intercooler and move it up so it really looks like one. I've never done a model mod like this before so tell me what you think of it so far. I kinda decided to do it late in the process but i don't really care:) I'm also adding LED's to the car, i've gotten the red tail lights all setup, but i'm having trouble finding nice bright white ones(almost blue) cheap for the head lights.

Tell me what you think, keep in mind i haven't painted or completely puttied/sanded it yet.
(Orginal, i added the white grill though)

Thanks

From what I can see, it looks really good! :D

Lets us know how you make out with the lights. A bunch of us are looking into that...

Welp, i'm pretty much finished with that mod, it wasn't as hard as i thought and it came out pretty well, i still need to put another clear coat on top of it though, here are some pics to compare...

Oh, as you'll see, i ended up converting the radiator into an intercooler to give it a "turbo look":) hehe

That Supra is awesome. The modifications look seamless. What is that thing that the Supra is resting on? Is it a to scale parking lot? That's sweet. In any case, tell us more about those LED's.

When you're finished be sure to submit the car to the gallery (e-mail jay@af with pictures and description, I forgot the e-mail address) :o

I'm going to buy that kit eventually and build it for my little brother. He loves that car. For now, he'll have to put up with this:

I got it from HobbyLink Japan -- www.hlj.com (www.hlj.com) for $2.64!

P.S. Leave the white grill out. It looks much better with out it. (If you really want to have it in there, paint it a different color). Just my opinion.

Yeah, i had an extra sheet of styrene laying around so i came up with the idea of making a parking lot for my car to sit on... I got the idea from school. I live in a fairly wealthy part of town and some kids drive some nice cars, like anAudi Quattro, a Kompressor, and a couple drive bmw's. :) (gotta love it huh?) Well, a bunch of them park in the far end of the lot across 3 or 4 parking spots, so i decided i would recreate with my supra and it came out just nicely. I did some measurements and math calculations and drew up this "to scale" parking lot, i painted it in tamiya flat german gray and plain yellow.

About the LEDs, i'll add more when i take some pics of them, thank for the info though.
