^ go get window tint, a water bottle with warm soapy water, and a squeegy, dont forget the exacto knife, clean window really good with viniger and water, then soak the sticky side of the tint with water, soak the window with water (both from the bottle) stick it on, move it into place, cut to the size you need and squeegie out all the air bubbles, simple as that

no matter who does your tint, it will bubble in the winter time, the trick is to do your tint on a modist day, not hot, but not cold, i like doing it in the 60's, makes it kind of a middle temp when every thing dries, i have a buddie who payed 280 bucks for a tint job, and he still gets bubbles in the winter, its from the difference in shrink rates between glass and whatever the hell window tint is made out of, as soon as it warms up (even if its the trucks heater warming the two) the bubbles go away, and yes blazer is from canada

I would have a shop install the tint seeing if they screw up, they replace it.
Real pain to install tint yourself. I love the front windows tinred but it does take some getting used to. You almost get tunnel vision when they are tinted at first, but you get used to it.
Worth it on those hot days when the sun is shining through the driver's or passenger window and cooking you in traffic.:D

I installed front tints myself. I got the 2 front windows off ebay for $10 + $5 shipping. Tint shops wanted $75/ window.
The tints I bought are are good, they're the "metal" kind, it's been about one year between MI and NY, no bubbles or purpling at all.
You have to be really patient and careful when applying. It helps if you do it in a garage (no wind). Also, use lots of soapy water to keep the tint moist all times throughout installation!
You didn't mention this at all, but you can not tint the rear window if it not factory tinted. The defroster will make the tint bubble. I've seen way too many cars try it, and it looks horrible!

You should check your local laws about what the limits are. In Florida the front windows, can't be less than 28%. Most cops don't care but there is always one prick out there that will mess with you. After having the same tint on my Impala for 6 years with no problems...while driving out of town a cop pulled me over and checked them. They were 8% he wrote me a ticket and I had to change it. I went to my local police department and asked them what the limit was and they told me they didn't know, because they didn't care about tint. (they did look it up for me) It was a real pisser though, I had to remove my tint, because a cop in another town (that I had no intention of returning to) didn't like it. What makes it worse is that the local authorities told me they didn't care and wouldn't have said anything.

I would have just paid the ticket and left the tint on.

I would have, but I had to mail back an affidavit showing that it had been corrected.

I have had my fronts done at a shop and gone threw two winters without any bubbles or defects.
I would say paying the extra cash is well worth the piece of mind you get, not having to worry about bubbles or defects

there is a local shop up here that does 7 windows for 150. no matter what % tint. In new Jersey you arent even allowed to have any tint on the front two windows. Didnt stop me, 8 months later, nothing. even been stopped 2 times by cops and they didnt give a damn.

You absolutely can tint a rear window with a defroster - I have many friends that have had it done. All you need is a competent shop. Another word of advise - don't use regular window cleaner on aftermarket tint. It turns the nice smoke color to a wonderful getto purple!
Here in NY the factory tint brings the front windows down to the legal limit so you "can't" put any on - yeah right!
