wheel bearings

hey guys got a 97 ford escort, how long does it take to do front wheel bearings? thanks

The bearings are part of a hub assembly. You will need to change the entire hub assembly to replace the bearings. To do this you will need to remove the axle shafts from both sides. With proper tools it will take a couple of hours.

I just got my front wheel bearings changed by a mechanic. It it took 3 hrs total to change both bearings. The bearings cost $40.00 each. 1997 Escort LX 178 000 KM.

You can also take the hubs into a machine shop and they'll change those bearings for you too.
