With some explaining, some are self-explanatory.

4508 - see how little damage is done to the finish.
They say it was a "bounce" not a "roll", meaning the
car landed hard when it wasn't airborne.

4510 - the back wheel is all skeewampus, because the
entire back suspension broke and the axle is held on
by springs only. Notice the carseat somehow got
smacked over.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/boingo82/max/DSCF4510.jpg
4511 - from the back. Trunk lid was about 15 feet from
the vehicle. Contents were everywhere, tow truck guy
was nice enough to pick them up. Our air compressor
did not survive.

4517 - There you have a brand new 40,000 mile tire
with less than 1 thousand miles on it. And a nice, new
disc brake with very few miles, snapped completely in
half.

4520 - back drivers wheel. Nice new tires!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/boingo82/max/DSCF4520.jpg
4521 - the opening Mac crawled out of.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/boingo82/max/DSCF4524.jpg
4531 - Those are tire marks. Yes, on the outside of
the wheel well. The back suspension was totally gone
and the wheel was out and up on the side of the car.
When they tipped the car back down, the wheel went
back into place since the springs are still attached.

Ready for the irony? 45 days ago we had two cars. Sold the Infiniti on Feb. 15. Now, we have 0 cars.
Both front airbags deployed. The driver's side airbag
deployed. Mac was seatbelted. The car rolled from 6-12
times according to witnesses. The tow driver was
impressed at how well the structure of the car held
up, considering the "bouncing" roll.
Mac has a welt on his forehead, we think he got hit
with a metal CD case kept in the car. He has a
concussion but is otherwise going to be fine, albeit a
little sore.

I'm glad to hear Mac's okay.
There is a wad of dirt wedged into the space for the nuts on the rim. What happened?

Glad no one was hurt. Geez, that looks crazy.
How did it flip/roll? What caused the accident?

Screw the new tyres, your husband is alive and that's the only important thing after an accident of this magnitude.

On a serious note, that's bad. I hope you're dealing with your loss well.

Boingo.. nice to see you around here again.
Too bad it had to be under these circumstances, but glad to see everyone is okay. What happened to the Infiniti? What was the reason for selling it.

Well, we didn't need two cars or two car payments. I sold it to a really nice kid though, that seems like he'll be really good to it.
Yes like everyone said..screw the tires...my husband is OK. It's hard though, we just registered the car last month and spent $700 on new tires, new brakes (new rotors and discs), new battery, etc. Money is tight. I can't NOT think about it.

:grinno: You too gorgeous.
On a very serious note, I am VERY glad your husband walked away from that one ALIVE and without the need for HOSPITALISATION. You need to snap the FUCK out of it if you think the $700 you spent on it last month matters one iota. Because it doesn't. The one you love and the father of your infant child is alive and well to tell the tale and probably somewhat wiser and more careful from now on. Change your thinking to: if it didn't have those new tyres/brakes on it (one small variable was changed), the outcome might not have been the same!
Hope the insurance and everything goes smoothly for you!
Stick around for a while this time, K? We definately need a new matron around here and you're my nomination. :icon16:

Thanks, I needed that! You are right. Besides I am not one to skimp on tires/ brakes.
It's hard to wrap my head around. I am sitting here thinking, "Oh damn, I have to take the car in to get that knock checked out.....oh. No I don't." I mean we bought our house because it had 2 covered parking spots. In a space of less than 6 weeks we have gone from 2 cars to 0. Big change.

Yeah man, and the next couple of weeks might suck without transport, but get a budget rental or get a loaner through insurance. You'll be sweet.

Yeah, I would wholeheartedly back what Oz is saying, I'm sick of filling the gaps as the temporary matron, this dress makes me look ridiculous :greddy2:
Oh yeah, sorry about the Max, but good to see the Hubby made it out alive, you're a smart woman boingo, you'll get around the financial strain that crashing the car brought pretty damn easily.

wow Thank goodness everybody's alive.......and i'm sorry about your car. Hopefully insurance will give you guys some money to get another one....and if that's not the case, then you can save up and get one off of Craigslist...they have a lot of good deals online from people in your area, based on the city you live in. and like Grant said, hope you do stay around, because we've missed you around here.
-on a side note....if those rims are ok, can you salvage them? Because they are hot.....

We're pretty much breaking even after paying off the loan. I can't complain either 'cause the car was upside down so at least we don't have to pay off large amnts of the loan ourselves.
Thanks for the compliment on the rims though, yeah they are pretty scratched up though I don't think they're bent. Those are stock from 2002 Altima SE...look better on the Max though. :)

Nice rims indeed. They may not be structurally sound though...
