suicide....doors

does anyone know how it is possible to put suicide doors on a honda civic lx 4 door 1997? or is it just an impossible task?

its possible, with a lot of work and money.

EVERYTHING's possible with a lot of work or money. But for my money, I'd probably do something vastly different. Even spending it on looks instead of performance, there is a lot else you can do first- and if it's not your first thing, and you think it'll fit with your overall design and car look goals, go for it.

Just don't try and get in or out of the car real fast. Notice, on all those classic lead sleds with the suicide doors, they're only in the BACK of the car? And the doors were much more square-shaped then they are today.

yeah but what sucks is that i dont know that much about performance and i was planning on doing the suicide in the back and vertical in the front but another thing is im far from rich

They have verts for around $1000 (cheapest; price depends on brand) and suicide door kits for $269.

Suicide kits don't just bolt on...they are just the hinges. To put suicde doors onthe rears of a 4 door will require extensive bracing. It is harder than on a 2 door. It's in the desing of the rear doors. Notice how it is not straight up and down at the rear of the rear doors? It's curved...because of where the wheel is located. This means the hinges must be cut in and welded into basically what amounts to ONE sport...putting ALL the weight and pressure on this spot in the sheet metal. Unless you do extensive bracing, you can bet you'll bend, rip or tear the sheet metal there as it's not strong enough for this without extrensive bracing. Suicide doors cost a grip to have done to a 2 door, and it will be even worse of a price for the 4 door. You'll be looking at $3,000 easy for suicides, and it likly could be worse consdiering it's a 4 door and becuase of the doors construction. If the guy doing the bracing doesn't do it right, it'll get ruined. It's harder than suidicding a2 door car like a coupe or MR2...and then on top of this you'll have to get the lambo door conversion kit still. Now that very well could just bolt on, depending on the brand you get...still....this is a LOT of money...and consdier you say you aren't made of money...it's all something to think about.
