ok, found out what all the white smoke shooting out of my exhaust was, my t25 decided to fry itself, which is fine by me, 16g here i come :evillol: but heres my question, i need opinions on which 16g to get, which pulls hardest, works best with my car, and works good with my mods now (almost stock) but will also work with future mods. any input would be great.

no brainer. evo III 16g.

same turbo I used in my gsx running high 12's. highly suggest you buy it ported and personal preferance on whether you have it clipped; I didnt.

If your still not sure look at the flow numbers on roadraceenginering.com or one of the many other dsm manf sites and compare the differences between the 3.

The only reason not to get the EVO 16g is if you want to get a deal on a used 16g. All 3 are able to easily max out your stock fuel system, so if you don't plan on upgrading injectors, it doesn't matter. If you might upgrade, the EVO has a ton of bang for the buck.

i wont need to get a new manifold for an evoIII 16g will i? and its giving me the option to have it ported, what are the effects of having it ported?

You will not need a new manifold. Porting will increase the amount of top end power you can get on the turbo...it allows more exhaust gas to pass through at high RPM (eliminating another exhaust restriction).

I would do it, personally--mine is ported out nicely to match a 7cm gasket. ShapeGSX runs an unported, unclipped Evo16g and runs high 11s in a full weight 2g. I'm not positive if his 7cm turbine housing was on the car for his 11.9 run, though.

He runs that unported housing still, as far as I know. I'm not a fan of clipping turbine wheels at all. But its personal preference, as mentioned above. I'd stick a larger turbine housing on it before I clipped it. Now thats an idea. 8cm EVO3 16g. :)

Clipping increases exhaust flow on the top end. It's a low end power vs high end power decision, but like Kevin mentioned, a larger exhaust housing does the same thing and probably is more effective. Clipping is not as common as it used to be. My 16g is clipped, though.

Clipping basically porks the turbine wheels efficiency. A lot of R&D went into the wheels design. I would rather do a larger housing than let some toolshed grind on my fancy turbine wheel. :)
