DSM's Love them hate

Just thought I would tell you guys about my dsm expereance in the last 2 days.

First off I was getting off work yesterday and walkin out to my car and I see this kid(like 8-10) and his day walking to this SRT-4 next to mine and the kid goes whats that and the dad says thats a Mitsubishi very, very fast. I was like fuck thats cool. That made my day. Little do they know its a gs.

Now for the fun part. My oil pan has been fucked for a while(leaking and now my jb weld has come off). I ordered a new one but of course I could not find a 420a pan so I was like wtf I will just get a a neon one. I got the new pan. Get my new gasket and line it up it works great right. So last night I jacked up my car drop the down pipe(the bolts on the manifold shield were striped and a air chizel wouldent do it. So I cut them off with a dremel. Had it just the manifold and fired it up real quick(sounded so fucking cool).

I go to get all the bolts off my oil pan and it turns out I have to fucking take off the dam crossmember. And fuck I get my oil pan off and I look at my pickup its fucked. And my pan I have my drained oil in my friend kicks it by acident and it goes over the whole fucking garage(its a brand new house they are renting). All over my car my friends spyder, his 05 legacy, and his brothers 2.5rs. Cleaned that shit up go to mount then new pan and fuck it wont work with the crossmember. It bolts up but is not shaped right for the crossmember.

Most of that happened at 2 in the morning last night(had to school today). So I am getting my pan cleaned right now(at the subaru dealership friends with the owner). Then getting it all welded and fixed. Fuck I love theses cars and hate them.

Damn that sucks but i thought you could take the oil pan without unhooking the crossmember?

Thats what I was thinking. But the book said I had to and it was just in the way.

Hmm thats weird cause i was reading on a turbo install for the 420a and the guy said he just unhooked his exhaust manafold let it hang losse and took off his oil pan never said he removed the crossmember even had pics crossmember was still on.

Oh finaly at 2:00 this morning I got my oil pan on their and fired her up. Boom runs like a champ now. I took my oil pick off and cleaned it out it was almost fully cloged with parts of my oil pan. Their are only two things now. First off it really does not want to start. Its really hard to start. Second after a few times of not having a lot of oil in the car(from when I first hit the curb) it clocks/knocks. The sound gets loudenought to hear at about 2.5k. This other RS around here makes the same sound and he says that it started when he went really low on oil.

Ok coolguys just fyi use the edit button(instead of reposting) or jake and them will cut ure balls off....next yeah it sounds exactly like any other eclipse RS work....full of bullshit...i think the chrysler guys were pissed and decided to make everything behind all kinds of shit. i love how you have to take ure whole engine bay apart for this headgasket im doing. rock on the non turbo....wooooooooo(sarcasm)
