Coolant Temperature Sensor

Where exactly is the COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR located for a 97 grand caravan.
My fans stopped working but the fuse is still good and the fan motors aren't dead.
I was told that the COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR is what was wrong.
please help!!!!!

You hare half right. There is also a relay involved and a fuse that controls the radiator fan circuit. These too could be the problem.

I believe the coolant temperate switch is over by the theromostat and will have two wires in the connector. Note that you also have a single wire temperature sensor that is used strictly by the temperature instrumentation gauge.

The two wire switch controls the cooling fans and measures the temperature of the water coming out of the radiator. To test this switch, (bypass the switch) jumper the two wires in the connector and turn the ignition on. Expect the radiator fans to come on. Watch your fingers.
If they start: replace the temperature switch.
If they don't start: the fuse or the relay is most likely the problem area. I think the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment. To test a relay, switch it with another of the same part number.
