NEW YORK - Infiniti on Thursday, March 28, unveiled its 2003 model year M45 performance sedan at the New York International auto show.
The vehicle, which will have a price tag in the low $40,000 range, will be built in Japan and will go on sale this fall.
The M45 will come standard with the same 4.5 liter 340-hp V-8 engine that is in the current Q45 that produces 333 pounds-feet of torque.
Also standard will be a five-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode that allows the driver to shift gears electrically. Leather seating and a Bose premium audio system also will come standard.
Options will include climate-control seats, a DVD navigation system and an intelligent cruise control system.
Infiniti said the M45 will be marketed primarily at men, age 45-50, with a household income of about $150,000. The vehicle will compete against the BMW 5-series, Acura RL, the Lexus G430 and the Mercedes E320.

Yes Jay this is the Gloria: After years of longing to drive one(I drove a Y33 in Japan a few years ago) it is finally here. This car looks to be an incerdible value(40k for 340 hp!!!!). No that I am working for Nissan again(and it appears I will be for quite a while), I will get the opportunity to preview it hopefully:devil:

The specs are awesome on that car. Such a lighter car with the same hp as the Q45. Thats NUTS. BUT i dont like the way it looks. Thas just my opinion. The grille is just so bad.

I've been a Gloria/Cedric fan for a long time, it'll be awesome to finally be able to see one now. However, I must agree about the grill...the badge in the middle of it ruins the look...if I got one, a JDM badge-less grill would be the first thing to go on...

The numbers look good (price and power), the interior ROCKS. But something about the width long front grill/wide headlight combination. Doesn't work too well. Oh well, side profile and ass end look cool.
Resembles the Cadillac CTS in a way.
But power and handling are more important anyway.
