Radiator Flush

how does one flush the radiator of a 2002 zx2?? i looked for a hose to splice into for the flush kit but it looks to be all metal. i hate taking my car to the dealership or at that matter to anyone else. Thank you in advanced.

there should be a plug in it (cant remember where) to drain the fluid, drain it, the open the top and spray the hose in till the bottom is flowing out w/ clean water.

If you can't find a suitable place to install the tee, you can just take the radiator hoses off of the radiator, and force hose water in the bottom and let it flow out the top (reverse of normal flow) and you will do a pretty good job of flushing the radiator. The rest of the cooling system, you almost have to remove the thermostat and flush top to bottom to clear it if you can't use a tee.

Be sure to bleed the system after flushing. An air pocket will cause all kinds of problems.

I don't have mine here to look at, but there has to be rubber heater hoses somewhere between the motor and the firewall. They may be down too low to be accessed from the top easily.

open the drain plug, let it empty, then fill it up with water and keep the water coming... idle the engine a little to get the water flowing. shut the car off, let it drain again, fill with your 50/50 mix... the little bit of water will be ok, it will dilute the solution slightly, but it will be within range...
