Just wondering if anyone knew how much one of the 1.8L Trd Superchargers would cost, Parts and Installation?

i'm not really sure but i don't think too many people could give you a price for parts as i think some will need to be custom made and fitted to your car

I've seen them for around 2500 and up. But I asked toyota directly and they said it wouldn't fit a Celica or MR2 due to lack of space. They only recommend for use with the Corolla or Matrix. I'm sure if you had enough ingenuity you could get a hood or make a hood that would allow it but that's a lot of work.

If you want just Google something like Toyota 1.8L Supercharger or go on like Yahoo Shopping or something like that.

Hope this was useful!

I was just wondering because i saw this celica while i was looking around for trd parts and what not. I was just wondering if it was more or less of a bolt-on since it is a toyota product made for almost the same engine, 1zz...

here's that car http://www.toyota.com/motorsports/spotlight/widebody.html

As already noted above, the problem with the TRD supercharger for the 1ZZ in the Celica is a fitment issue. If you could manage to fit it in there, it would no doubt work fine, however, as with the MR2 Sypder guys, there's just no room to poke a S/C without extensive modification to the firewall (in the case of the Sypder).

It is a bolt-on unit. I put one on my Land Cruiser (obviously a larger Eaton unit, but made the same). You have to swap out the crank pulley which is the most difficult thing (304 ft-lb torque!), but otherwise is a straightforward install which takes about a day or long afternoon.

The cost on the LC version was $2750 a few years ago. If you do the work, then there really no additional cost. If it could be done, the dealer would want a lot to do this however (est. about 10 hrs labor).
