dash lighting

My center dash lights are out (direction, temp, and fan speed) do not light up. However the a/c button light works just fine.
I've checked the fuses and they are all in good shape. I'm thinking it has to be the bulb in underneath being burnt out. I've not tried to the remove the dash yet. I was first wondering if anyone else had experienced this and maybe I missed something when checking fuses... I read that this was aparently common on 1g lasers... however my car is a 2g...
If it comes down to being the bulb underneath.. Is this easy to replace? (how hard is it to remove the dash?)
