OK....I spun the rods in the good ol Camaro...

TIME FOR A REBUILD :iceslolan

So what do you suggest? I have a few options of course, and Im only building the bottom end now. (New heads/cam come late summer)

Anybody have any pros/cons over a 383 Stroker?
Or just forged component stock rebuild.

Open to any options at this point, let me know what ya think. I'll keep the whole thing documented since Im doing all the work myself (other than machining).

Time really isnt that big of a factor and Id love to keep the cost to around $1500.

Im talkign about just building the bottom end now, so it should keep the cost relatively low...heads are where the price really starts to go high.

Can I keep the stock cam/heads if I go stroker? I know NOTHING about cams...so "edumacate" me if possible.

give a little and get a little: i understand the concept but what exactly happens when one 'spins a rod?'

spun a rod bearing...

one side of the bearing goes into the other...cause bad noises and drivability, lol
