guys, back in the fall a little weight fell off the inside of my rear driverside brake drum cover, it had fell out and was making a screeching sound so i took the wheel off and the brake drum cover off and there it was. i couldnt find were the weight came from so i slapped the cover back on and forgot about it. it really didnt start wabbling/vibrating until i had to get a new tire put on that rim, so i figured it was not balanced right. i took it and had a complete set of new tires put on, it has rode smoothly for the past month, here all of a sudden it rides like i have a warped rim or a not on one of the tires. what could be the cause?

I would take it back to the tire place and have them sort it out. The tire may have gone bad due to a defective belt or some other problem. If the weight from your brake drum was small, not having it shouldn't make a big difference. If you want to check for a wobble put the truck on a lift or jack up the wheel and spin it. You can see a pretty small wobble when you spin a wheel. If you do have a wobble you need to verify if it is the tire or wheel.

you may want to check the conditions of your lug nut threads and wheel studs, that little piece of metal could have been a backer for your studs or part of one, i've heard of worn lugs and studs loosening with use which could explain that after replacing the tires the lugs were torqued down but worked loose, i would start off ensuring the lugs were tightened and torqued in a proper star pattern and torqued properly cause overtightening can stress and pull the stud into your drum , not tight enough obviously results in it backing off while driving, if that doesn't solve it and you still have a squeal your wheel bearing may be shot causing noise and wobble.

i fixed the problem, over a month ago i had new tires put on the truck, they put 40 psi in each on, i backed all 4 down to 35, the wobble has went away. so im all good.
