Honestly, I think that the Celica would be a great choice. No one can deny the reliablity of those toyotas and the engines in the All trac's have been known to be able to take some massive HP numbers. Good find at 3500 also. Just make sure it's in good condition and if so, I say take it.

I agree with savior. Those celicas can look pretty sweet, and pack a punch. Plus, the price is right, if everything checks out. High miles don't always tell the story of a car, its how the car has been treated for those 150k that matter. (sure is hard to resist having fun with a car like that though).
P.S. I wasn't aware that they made an awd celica. News to me.

They were produced for only a short time and they are rare. Just make sure he doesn't jack up the price on you when you go to purchase. I had it done to me with the excuse that "oh I just found out they are rare so I'm only willing to accept 8 grand" (4 higher then original..)
The ironic part is a year later he still has the car sitting for sale on the lawn.. Stupid people. I guess he wasn't in such a rush to sell it..

I say go for it, I would buy it just to have it. I would never sell my baby though  I just love a turbo and awd and rwd are the only kinds of drivetrain I like. Who gives a shit if its a celica, its turbo and awd! But if you see a nice gsx for a good price well....you know what to do

TRAITOR!!!!
j/k. If you feel it is right, then go for it. But a GS-T would sure be cool :-) I think you will be happy if you go with the Celica, but it just isnt the same as a DSM :-)
